Roscoe,IL March 6, 2008- Universal Pictures “Public Enemies” starring
Johnny Depp as John Dillinger and Christian Bale as Melvin Purvis will
Be using the actual documented 1932 Studebaker Commander sedan that the
Dillinger gang used in the 1933 robbery of the Central National Bank in
Greencastle Indiana. It was the largest bank heist up to that time in history,
totaling over $75,000.00. The incident will be retold in the film and will
feature the real car that was used in the robbery 75 years ago!
The film will be released in 2009 from director Michael Mann who’s
film work includes “Miami Vice”, “Thief” and “Heat”. “We saw the
opportunity to place the authentic vehicle in the picture knowing it would
add credibility to the film”, said John Mark of Historic Auto Attractions”.

said R. Blaine Currier, Picture Car Captain.
The movie will be filmed in Chicago, Wisconsin and Indiana starting March
2008. It is based on the 2004 book “Public Enemies” by Bryan Burrough. It
will tell the story of Americas greatest crime wave during the depression and
the birth of J. Edgar Hoovers F.B.I.
Historic Auto Attractions is a private museum that features famous vehicles
from World leaders, Racing, Movies, Television and a large collection of
John F. Kennedy artifacts.
