The body is a precision fiberglass unit produced by the famous 1935/36 Ford Roadster and Phaeton builder, Pat Mooney of Yakima, Washington (this is #6 of a total of 7 Phaeton bodies and is the only known to exist as a finished vehicle). Except for the custom wheels and louvered hood, this vehicle is completely stock appearing with well engineered mechanical changes and comfort and convenience features using the latest technology. It has been fabricated, assembled and finished by meticulous craftsmen with total attention to detail. The quality of the engineering and overall integration of the modifications with the original vehicle design is remarkable. The result is a striking, one of a kind and very desirable custom. Finish: A show quality finish in PPG Black. Matching black top, door covers, spare cover, and bra. The black rubber ribbed running board mats are as new. Chrome/Trim: All chrome is mint. The bumpers are stainless steel, polished on both sides with chrome support braces. All exposed bolts and fasteners are stainless with chrome plating. An extensively modified chassis and drive train with a high performance supercharged Chevrolet 350 V-8 engine mated to a TH 350 Automatic transmission coupled to a show chromed Ford 9 inch rear with modified parallel leaf springs and special chromed tubular shocks. A 2 inch dropped front axle with polished stainless components including the transverse spring, wishbones and all steering arms and controls. The entire chassis and power train are finished and detailed to show quality. Engine: The engine is a Chevrolet 350 CID V-8, performance built and appearance customized. It has a mild cam, a B&M 250 blower with a 750 Holley carb, MSD ignition, ceramic coated headers with 2-1/2 inch aluminized pipes, performance mufflers and a unique custom fabricated air cleaner. Dyno tuned and tested, it develops a strong 475 H.P. while remaining very manageable for street usage.
