Extensively documented complete rebuild. A great example of a well maintained 356.
By 1964, Porsche was moving full steam ahead on their new 900 series (911) sports car. The 356 production was winding down. There were less than 2 years of production left in the 356. This last model was introduced as the 'C'. Besides disc brakes all the way around and a sway bar, they also introduced the new SC (Super Carrera) model. The SC boasted 95hp (21% increase over the standard) from a 9.5:1 compression motor with dual Solex carburetors.
This Porsche was built on February 25th, 1964.
This 356 SC is a joy to drive! It starts easily on the first try and holds a nice idle. It warms up fairly quickly and has excellent throttle response. The gearbox shifts smoothly with no grinding or slipping. The brakes have recently been bled and have a nice responsive pedal feel with good initial bite. This Porsche is the ideal car for the enthusiast that wants a collectible model, but won't be afraid to actually use it.
Comes with website link of the complete documented rebuild, COA from Porsche, luggage rack & extra set of 4 Fuchs wheels & tires.
