MASSACHUSETTS WAS THE GENESIS OF THE AUTOMOBILE IN THE US - THE BAY STATE MOTOR FESTIVAL FEATURING VEHICLES MADE IN MASSFramingham, MA will be the setting for the inaugural Bay State Motor Festival on Sunday, June 8th, 2025 celebrating the exciting history of automobile manufacturing in Massachusetts and showcasing classic and vintage cars from around the world. The event is a collaborative initiative created by Bay State LLC, in partnership with the City of Framingham, and the Framingham History Center. This unique car show at historic Cushing Memorial Park, will include an expected display of more than 100+ vehicles along with visual exhibitions on the history of automobiles made in Framingham and across Massachusetts. Of the seven million cars made in the Bay State official nickname of the Commonwealth, 4.6 million were made in Framingham at the General Motors plant from 1947-1989. From 1922-1925, 2500 cars were built at the Bay State Manufacturing Company in Framingham. The last known surviving Bay State sedan will be on display at the Festival. Along with Framingham-built GM Oldsmobiles, Pontiacs, Buicks and Chevys, a Made in Massachusetts display will feature Springfield-built Rolls-Royces, Brewsters, Knox, and Indian motorcycles, Boston-built 1792 Fire Department Thayer Hand Pumper Waltham-built Metz, Stanley Steamer and Orient bike and buckboards Natick-built Northway trucks, Amesbury-builtBailey Electrics Orange Built Grouts Westfield Pope Motor Bikes and others. At 9am, leave in 3 groups HARE, TORTOISE, and SNAIL 5 minutes apart for an 100 mile drive, done by noon.What does your $50 get you? Only this: a parking pass, rally decal, a PDF with rally info and route directions, a Google Map and downloadable .kml file, and an amazing morning out on Northern California's best backroads with a crew of like-minded drivers. All applications are subject to review and approval by BCR in the case your application is not accepted, your registration fee will be refunded. After approval, registration fees are not refundable or transferable to another person, or rally for any reason. Rallies are rain or shine but, due to safety concerns, not 'storm or shine' - if BCR cancels a rally, you'll receive a raincheck for any forthcoming BCR rally that your car is eligible for. Drivers must be at least 18 years old. Registration is per vehicle - not per person. Share the good times feel free to bring as many people as your car can safely seat. This is a private event. MORRIS CRUISE NIGHTAll car owners are invited to participate. There are no pre-registration or car qualifications. A charitable donation/registration fee of $10.00 CASH per vehicle is required at entry. The official event hours are advertised from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. October event 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Morris Cruise Night staff begins parking as early as 3 p.m. on cruise nights. Cars must enter off N Division Street on E. Washington Street directional signage will be present. Only Morris Cruise Night cars who have paid the donation/registration fee are permitted to park on Liberty Street and surrounding streets designated for Morris Cruise Night. Please note there are no rain dates. No outside vendors are allowed. Cars parked on Liberty and surrounding streets without proper registration stickers will be ticketed by the Morris Police Department. No moving of roadblocks are allowed. No alcohol is allowed. Mercedes Benz 61st June Jamboree MBNNJS Longest running MBCA eventThe 61st June Jamboree is open to all Mercedes-Benz vehicles. Once again, our June Jamboree will be held at The Hermitage, A National Historic Landmark. The Hermitage is located at 335 North Franklin Turnpike, Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ 07423. Please note, this event will be open to the public and all attendees of the park. The pre-registration cost to enter a car is $75.00, day of is $85.00 and this fee includes a buffet lunch for the driver. Additional guests lunches are only $35.00 and lunch for those under 12 is free. Lunch is a sit-down buffet lunch and will be provided in the indoor event space at the Hermitage. REGISTRATIONS made the day of the event the registration fee is $10 more per car and $10 more per lunch. Important - No day of Concours registrations will be accepted - you must pre-regsiter. You may attend the Jamboree as a spectator without showing a car, The Hermitage does have a suggested entry fee of $10.00 Per Person. Entry to the show will begin at 8:30 AM AND WILL END AT 9:45AM. ALL CARS MUST BE ON THE FIELD BY 9:45AM You will need to pull your car up the driveway and to the Registration Table in order to receive your registration packet and be given your assigned parking spot. The cars will be broken down into two categories: Popular, a more casual participation where cars are voted on by those in attendance and Concours, judged by a team of judges according to the MBCA guidelines. Popular Vote: In your registration packet there will be number coded votes for the Popular Vote cars please match the number of the vote to the number of the window sign votes not matching the correct color will be discarded. All popular votes begin with a letter followed by a number. Popular Vote cars are divided into two categories: Sedan and Sport and then further broken down by years: New 2020 to present, Modern 2010-2019, Old 2000-2009, Vintage I 1999-1974, Cars 25-49 years old and Vintage II - Pre 1974 Cars 50 years old and older. My advice for the Popular Vote cars is to Give the baby a bath and come enjoy a good time with fellow Benz enthusiasts. Concours: Please place your window sign on your window along with your scoresheet if you are participating in the Concours. If you do not want anyone touching your vehicle without you being there, you must remain with your car during the judging time. Judging will begin at 9:45AM and at that time, there will be no further detailing of the cars allowed. AFTER 9:45 NO CONCOURS CARS WILL BE ALLOWED TO ENTER THE FIELD FOR JUDGING. The cars in Concours class are then further broken down according to chassis. Concours cars need to be detailed and will be judged in four categories: 1 Interior, Upholstery, Trunk 2 Glass, Lights, Rubber, Chrome, Trim 3 Engine Compartment 4 Paint, Coachwork and points are also given for mileage and age. There is a mandatory 2-point deduction if your car is trailered to the event. Weather Given that this years event will be on grass, lets all hope for a dry day. Rain date June 23rd. GAS UPThe Annual Gas Up Exposition of antique and vintage vehicles, tools, and machinery takes place in Gallupville, New York on June 7th, 8th, 14th, and 15th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm daily. Step into the past and enjoy this free and family friendly event. While attending you may enjoy watching the old steam powered sawmill at work, take in an antique tractor pulled hayride, savor a dish of made-on-site ice cream, or watch a parade of antique vehicles on Sundays at 2pm.
