1974 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28. A truly incredible car with a storied past and a paint job that would cost a small fortune to replicate! This Camaro was owned by Juergen Guse of Edmonton in '77 and while he was in Grade 11, he decided to turn it into something wild! The Car started with an LT-1, then a 471 blower, and eventually the 671 blower was perched atop the factory 350! A the time, a shop called Van Art was owned by Dave and Ken Poole and was well known for custom vehicle paint and body. An employee named Joey Steckler bought the business from the original owners and it became "Joey's Place Custom Paint and restoration, which is still open to this day. Joey and Juergen were buddies and this is one of the first cars that Joey painted in the early 80's! The car still features this incredible paint job that has more than 8 colors incorporated, shading, air brushing, custom art and incredible flawless finish, all which has survived remarkably well for more than 40 years! Juergen's mother sewed the entire crushed velvet diamond stitched interior. There's all kinds of neat work done to this thing over the years, with most recent work a few years ago, just going over the powertrain to refresh it and have it running and driving as it should. The rear end is out of a '70 Cuda 440 6-pack, shortened to fit the massive rear tires. Juergen and his son Stephan reached out to Rod's Hotrods to share some of the story of the build and they're happy to tell the rest to the next owner as well! Car shows 50,000 miles, but like any car with a 5-digit odometer, true milage is unknown.
