CONDITION
This 1960 Volkswagen Single Cab is a solid and highly desirable classic with original German build quality. Finished in blue with a custom black and white checkered front and roof design, this truck has a unique and eye-catching appearance. The gray interior features a bench seat with patterned upholstery and retains its vintage charm. Mechanically, the upgraded 1776cc engine with dual carburetors runs strong, starts easily, and the 4-speed manual transmission shifts smoothly.
The truck has received numerous recent mechanical updates including a new gas tank, full brake system refresh, new wiring harness, and battery. The body is largely original metal with very minimal rust present, especially compared to typical examples. There are a few small thumb-sized rust spots in the treasure chest area and a minor spot near the battery. The bed and gates are in good condition with no major rust issues.
Cosmetically, the vehicle does show dents and dings consistent with age, and it would benefit from metal work if a higher-level restoration is desired. Overall, this is a very solid, running and driving classic Volkswagen pickup with strong mechanicals and a great foundation.
