Gateway Classic Cars of Fort Lauderdale is proud to present this 1993 Land Rover Defender 90 in gray and black. This '93 is a great example of the famous British off-road vehicles that were first introduced in 1983 as the Land Rover Series III, and would become known as the Defender 90. The Defender 90 quickly became the vehicle of choice for British and Australian military and police units across the world due to it's ruggedness and maneuverability. It was also used by US forces during the Gulf War, where it was discovered to be a better fit for navigating urban situations than Humvees. Far away from conflict, the 44 became a highly coveted vehicle among auto enthusiasts in America, who saw it as a more exclusive alternative to the Jeep & this one is no exception. This defender is sharp, with its black exterior and white Defender decals. The interior is clean, and of course the drivers seat is on the right side. Plenty of space in the back, with two comfy bench seats. The transmission in this Defender is a manual 5 Speed, and in the engine bay sits a turbo charged 2.5 liter Diesel motor.
