1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass

Description:

Extremely rare factory 4-speed (less than 100 made)! In addition to that it has the 310 horsepower 350, rallye suspension and a posi. Oh yeah, it's also a red convertible with white interior and rallye gauges. It's also a 1 owner car! We just bought it from the man the bought the car new. It's #s matching, born like you see it. He just mailed me a copy of the original invoice and finance contract.

EXTERIOR: The body is in excellent shape. I went around the whole car and did not find any rust, damage, bubbles, shrinkage or cracking in the body. It is straight and fits right. Repainted it's original code 75 Matador red color. Very smooth glossy finish with no obvious flaws. The bumpers fit the body really well. Overall, the chrome and trim is straight and shiny, some of it is new, some is original. The remote mirror looks new. It has all four correct T3 headlights. The white convertible power top is in very good shape.

INTERIOR: It's a factory white interior that looks great and stays much cooler in the summer. It has some really good factory features including the rallye pack gauges and the tick tock tachometer. It also is a bucket seat car with a factory center console and of course the highlight of it all is the original Hurst shifter sticking out of it. It also features an 8-track player and a sports steering wheel. The carpet, upholstery, door panels were all replaced during restoration.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has its original VIN number matching 350 that makes 310 horsepower! All stock: manifolds, four barrel carb, complete air cleaner system with the heat riser tube. The wiring and hoses are all run properly, the squirters are hooked up. It features power steering and power brakes.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid is painted nice and has the reproduction stickers. The paint in the jamb is a little dry. Inside is completely solid metal with a spatter finish. It has the correct gray felt mat and tire cover. Complete jack and spare assembly including the lug wrench. New well liner. The trunk light works.

UNDERSIDE: It has the rallye suspension which includes front and rear sway bars and boxed control arms in back. The front end looks like it's been rebuilt. It has stainless pipes leading up to the mufflers and turn down tips on the tailpipes. Disc brakes in front, e-brake is hooked up. The floors look really solid, it's been painted black. Looking up at the motor it is clean, it has a chrome oil pan and new starter. It's a rare VIN #s matching M-20 Muncie 4-speed trans. 12 bolt posi rear end with a W27 aluminum cover.

SERVICE: We inspected the car and replaced the high beam bulb, the heater core, a taillight bulb, power top switch, we cleaned and adjusted the rear brake drums.

I've been trying to buy this car from him for a few years. The 4-speed in a convertible is an extremely rare car and then you combine it with all the colors and features, and it becomes almost too good to be true. I hope that whoever buys realizes how special of a car they have!

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year membership.
