This is a true one owner car with all the original documentation! It won a Bloomington Gold Survivor Award. The judging sheet and certificate will be included. Only 49,634 actual miles. The seller bought it new; he is a serious car collector and has been a customer of ours for decades. I assure you it has been well cared for. It is all original except maintenance and it looks practically new. I absolutely love the colors and of course the 4-speed is rare.
EXTERIOR: It's never been damaged; the body has never had any kind of accident. It is still wearing 100% of its original paint. I love the dark blue metallic color. It shows very nicely but is wearing some minor patina simply because of age. Of course, the t-tops come off and they store behind the seats. It has sport mirrors; the vacuum headlights open and close properly. The glass is crystal clear; weather strips are soft. Original 15x8 rally wheels look great, they have newer BFG tires on them.
INTERIOR: I'm blown away at how clean and crisp the oyster white upholstery looks. The seats and steering wheel are glove soft leather. They really took excellent care of this car. It was never smoked in; the lighter has never been used. Features inside include a tilt-telescopic wheel, power windows and locks, rear window defogger and the original AM/FM stereo. The owner's manual is in the glove box. Of course, the original 4-speed sticking out of the console makes it even that much better!
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The engine compartment is completely original. It has it's VIN number matching 350 motor. It's all stock manifolds, valve covers, complete air cleaner assembly including the heat shielding. The brake booster still has a paper sticker on it. The factory air conditioning blows cold.
UNDERSIDE: Underneath the car is well preserved original condition, maintained as needed. It looks like the power steering control valve and ram were replaced. Brake hoses look fresh. The exhaust has the original catalytic converter, 1 muffler is starting to rust. These all-feature independent suspension front and back and disc brakes at all for wheels. The frame is solid, the fiberglass is clean. It has its complete spare tire carrier. Looking up at the motor it's clean. It has it's VIN number matched T10 4-speed trans and its original posi rear end.
SERVICE: We inspected the car and adjusted the timing, properly installed the EGR, replaced valve cover gaskets, lubed the shifter, replaced a reverse light bulb, and charged the air conditioning.
The colors are amazing! The Survivor Award says it all, it was judged and determined to be original. It comes from an excellent home, it's owners really cared for it.
