This magnificent 1969 Plymouth GTX has begun the restoration process at SMG. We always wanted to restore this loaded 4-speed GTX, but we were so far behind with other projects that we didn’t want to take it on just yet. But temptation won over and the transformation has begun.
There is not a more potentially valuable 69 GTX on the planet than this all numbers matching, original fender tag, R4 Red, 4-speed Dana, bucket seat console muscle car with factory air grabber hood. This rare, loaded, and very desirable 60’s hot rod also came from the factory with power steering, inside hood release, vinyl top, accent trim décor, light package, and factory tach.
The rear frame rails and torsion bar support were in rough shape, so those are being replaced while we install new floor pans, trunk pans, and quarter panels.
We can stop anytime and sell this beauty for someone else to finish, or we can make time to fix it throughout the next year.
This price is now $45,000. The sheet metal and frame repairs are soon to be completed. We can work on the body, paint, interior, engine, and transmission rebuild.
We estimate this car will be for sale for $90-$100,000 once complete. On a pre-sale basis, we can sell it at a negotiated discount. Finding a 69 GTX for sale isn’t difficult, but it is doubtful that there is another one that has the desirability and upside collectible value as this one.
*We highly recommend each car is inspected by a third party prior to purchase.
