Vintage Barris Custom stored away for many years. This car originally came in to the world as a '51 Ford Victoria 2-door hard top. It was diagonally sectioned 5" in approximately 1953 by Barris Custom Studios. Mr. Barris confirmed that he had done the work and signed the dashboard..
It was stashed away in a warehouse in Waco TX from 1958 to 19891990 after which it was acquired by another legend in the custom car world Art Maimbourg who removed the top and added a convertible windshield top frame added a Carson style top and converted the car to a two passenger roadster. Art restyled the tail lights and had this beauty painted and pinstriped by hot rod icon Ed "Big Daddy" Roth - the originator of Rat Fink..
It has a fresh era correct flathead V-8 4 speed transmission and runs and drives incredibly. This car is completely and totally rust free. In today's money if you supplied the car I am sure it would cost you $100K to do this type of body work..
Finally we added vintage air under the hood utilizing a 1956 Cadillac housing in the interior and a hidden stereo in the glove department..
