1957 Chevrolet 210 Restomod

Description:

All '57 Chevys are alike, right? Wrong! Take a good, long look at this stunning 1957 Chevrolet 210 Restomod and you'll find that a huge amount of time, effort, and money went into the build, resulting in a show-stopper classic that can hammer down the highway better than almost any other vintage ride on four wheels. By all account this was an open-checkbook restoration, so you know it's dialed-in everywhere you look, but you really need to see it closer to appreciate just how spectacular it really is. The color is Viper Red, a wonderful, high-impact, bright yet sophisticated hue that gives this Tri-5 the very expensive look it deserves. The investment in quality bodywork is evident everywhere you look and the long flanks and bright 210 trim doesn't leave any areas for shoddy workmanship to hide. The deep, glossy finish not only makes heads turn with its flashy look, but it's surprisingly easy on the eyes, and was applied with an eye toward functionality, so you don't need to be afraid to drive it. No liberties were taken, no chopped roof, no shaved handles, and no chrome or stainless deletion, as it was important to the builders to pay respect to the timeless '57 Chevy design. And although the paint isn't perfect (would you even drive it if it was?), it's still pretty darn good and looks so fresh that it's bound to turn heads for years to come. Spectacular chrome only enhances the sparkling, high-quality look and you know few things are more expensive to refinish than the brightwork on a '50s automobile. Add in the bright stainless body trim that's a highlight of the 210 models and you have a car that doesn't have a single wrong line on it anywhere. There's not much 1957 left inside after a full-blown custom restoration featuring high-end leather-clad benches fore and aft, a custom center console up front, and spectacular ornate door panels that complement the red upholstery perfectly. The stock Chevy dash was slightly reworked and now houses a full set of bright white Dakota digital gauges in the original 3-gauge instrument panel and even though the overall look pays homage to 1957, it sure seems sleeker and more high-tech, doesn't it? A billet steering wheel with red leather on the rim anchors the cockpit atop a polished tilt column, and a long expanse of polished billet trim is the perfect contrast to the otherwise bright red metal dash. Plush red carpets are protected with stock vinyl floormats below, there's a taut headliner above, and a custom center console houses a set of cup holders and a Pioneer AM/FM/CD/AUX/Bluetooth head unit that manages the tunes. Rounding out the options list is the modern A/C system that was cleverly installed into the dash, and yes, it's blowing ice cold R134a refrigerated air throughout the cabin. Out back, the back seat looks untouched and the trunk was beautifully finished to match the cabin, with matching red carpets and hidden side panels with an ingrained Chevrolet symbol in the middle adding a trick touch. Instead of a ho-hum drivetrain, this beautiful 210 packs an upgraded and venerable 5.3L LS V8 Vortec motor. Like you, we're tired of seeing garden-variety engines in these cars, and this high-horsepower modern engine will definitely impress passengers and onlookers alike. It's supremely smooth and thanks to modern fuel injection, a polished LS1 intake and injectors, and a PSI wire harness and computer, it starts quickly, idles smoothly, and pulls without a hitch. At shows, you'll be extra proud to pop the hood and show off the all the bling, including the ceramic-coated long-tube headers, the polished power brake system, and polished A/C compressor, and the bright air-intake tube and cone filter, all of which absolutely pop out against the Viper Red inner fenders and firewall. It's really dressed for show under the hood, and the Eddie Motorsports S-Drive serpentine belt system keeps it all working in unison. The shine and detail continue to the chassis where you'll find fresh components throughout, tubular upper and lower control arms, a satin-black dusted frame and floorpans, and a brand new gas tank. Power 4-wheel disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors are at every corner, and the H-pipe dual exhaust system burbles through a pair of Flowmaster mufflers that sound fantastic. A 4L60E 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission feeds a rugged rear end that's ready for red light-to-red light action and long distance cruises alike, so whether you're hitting the Power Tour or just taking the wife out on a Sunday, this 210 is ready to go. 18-inch chrome Coys look great in any iteration, and those blackwall radials are fat enough to handle all asphalt conditions and have plenty of tread life left in them. With only 247 miles on the clock since the build was finished two years ago, this 210 cost a heck of a lot more to build than the asking price today. If you like a bit of sophistication with your performance, this Tri-5 Chevy Restomod delivers in a very big way. Call today!
