Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1974 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible! The Beetle has an incredibly deep history dating all the way back until the 30s era! With a team lead by Ferdinand Porsche the people's car" debuted in 1938. Over the next decade the car became widely known in its home country as the Kfer (German for "beetle"). With subtle changes over the years across many generations the Beetle is the longest-running and most manufactured car of a single platform ever made! Here we have a '74 Model. The maroon paint you can tell has seen some of the world but still shows good. The tan vinyl and cloth interior has normal signs of use but has held up well. The convertible top is manually operated. Powering this Beetle is a 4-cylinder engine mated to a 3-speed manual transmission. With little weight, the 4-cylinder provides plenty of power and the manual trans really allows for spirited fun drive out of this little bug. The current owner has had her for over 8 years, acquired from a private owner out of Pigeon Forge, TN and claim to be its 2nd owner! This Beetle is believed to even have its original panels. She comes with a few maintenance records and car runs and drives out well. Titled as a 1974 Volkswagen Beetle, it is free and clear and ready to be transferred into your name now!
