A bold statement of power and prestige. Only 1,280 were built total and approximately 20% of those had a/c. Southern car with very clean metal. Same owner the last 10 years in Louisiana.
EXTERIOR: This is rolling artwork. The stacked headlights are canted inward at the bottom, the grill and bumper follows the same angles. In back is a set of pointed tailfins and a ribbed trunk lid. The body is laser beam straight which says alot for a black car as long as a football field. The gaps are excellent. It is a factory Formal Black car and it is polished like a mirror. The chrome up front and in back sparkles. The stainless down the sides and around the windows are straight and shiny. It has matching red-white-blue 300 emblems on all sides and on the hubcaps. It rolls on radial whitewall tires. The jambs are clean, glass is good.
INTERIOR: One of the coolest interiors of all time! At least I think so. It has the unique AstraDome gauge cluster with working Panelescent Lighting. The center console goes front to rear creating 4 true bucket seats. The front buckets swivel side to side, why did they stop making those? The luxury is accomplished with soft leather upholstery, chrome ribs on the headliner, chrome trim and heel pad on the carpet, power windows, power seat and a push button shifter. The tachometer reminds you there is some horsepower available at the pedal. I also love the clear steering wheel which is mint. Actually every inch of the inside is abundant with unique design. Overall it's in great shape too.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: 413-375 hp; 495 lbs of torque Wedge motor has forged steel crank, bigger valves, hotter cam and on top is the cherry- a dual crossram aluminum intake with a 4 barrel at the end of each one. It runs strong and smooth. It features factory air conditioning which has been updated with R134 freon. It also has power steering and power brakes. Every thing looks clean and proper.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Huge trunk has new side inserts and carpeted floor. The spare has a radial whitewall that's never been used. The black paint is glossy and weatherstrip was replaced.
UNDERSIDE: Rock solid, I see no signs of rust our repairs in the floors or frame. The components look original, maintained as needed. The dual exhaust is new. The transmission is the 727 Torqueflite automatic hooked to a 3.23 rear end. The G series came with heavy duty springs, torsion bars and shocks.
I'm selling myself on this car. I am having a hard time thinking of another car that offered as much style, unique features and performance. This one really appears to be a clean, honest example. Here is an opportunity to own a fantastic collector car!
