1932 Ford 3 Window Coupe
The 1932 Ford has a special place in automotive history but not just because of the initial success Henry Ford was having with his cars. These classics are also the base of some of the coolest Street Rods in the world. When the street rodding craze started the '32 Ford was a go to choice and that remains the same even today. While there are many out there not all '32s are created equal. After looking over this beautiful 3 Window Coupe it will become clear this thing was built with the best of the best. It was constructed by an experienced builder and is one of those cars that you can tell was really thought out. It wasn't just thrown together like some builds and every component was planned and designed to result in an absolutely gorgeous car. Construction started with the N&N fiberglass body which are known for their top tier product. They are one of the best reproduction bodies out there and are a go-to for many serious builders out there. It is coated in a Black basecoat/clearcoat that has a mirror like finish. Whether they are a painter or just a hot rodder, all car fanatics know how difficult it can be to get a Black paint job done just right. Well this one achieves that without a doubt. From the firewall forward the car is all steel with a Rootlieb hood and Brookville grill with grill shell. The side panels have three rows of louvers which looks perfect on these cars. The low sitting larger diameter chrome headlights are also a nice touch and really give the '32 a great looking front end. All of the chrome on the car including the billet side mirrors and spreader bars is in excellent condition. The car never sees the rain but should you have the unfortunate situation of being caught in it, the car does have a working windshield wiper. It has an awesome stance and sits on polished American Racing Salt Flat wheels with Diamond Back smoothie tires. The tires are brand new and it has 195/65/15 in front and 265/70/16 in rear.
Lift open the 4 piece hood and you will see the beautifully dressed up ZZ4 350ci crate engine (355hp). The motor runs extremely well with zero smoking and has plenty of power. The look of it was very well designed with a very classy combination of Red components with chrome and polished billet pieces. It is something you are definitely going to want to show off. It is topped off with a Hot Rod tri power setup which is the perfect old school touch that really helps the car stand out. Even the ignition coil has a custom finned cover. The more you look at it the more starts to stand out backing up the obvious high build quality. It has a full stainless steel 2 inch exhaust system which delivers a great sound. Other very nice components are the Unisteer steering system, Pertronix ignition, Powermaster alternator, Powermaster starter, Walker radiator, and Cooling Component fan with shroud. The transmission is a Phoenix 700R4 automatic and in rear it has a Currie Posi 9 inch. If you want to talk about detail just take a look underneath this ride. A lot of the components like the TCI frame (with 3/4 inch pinch), rear end, and even the Tanks Inc Gas Tank are painted in a slick gloss Black just like the body. On the rear end is a custom mounted "STOP" taillight which is a pretty cool subtle hidden touch. The car has power disc brakes with 12 inch Wilwood discs in back and 11 inch in front. Stainless steel brake lines were used throughout and the front bakes have old school Buick covers. Being a Hiboy means your front end components are exposed so they better be looking good. Well this car leaves no disappointments because along with those Brake covers it has a polished out SoCal front end with a 4 inch Superbell drop axle. In rear for the suspension are RideTech adjustable coil over shocks.
The interior is beautifully finished out in all Black. It has a tuck and roll pleated Glide seat which allows you to do some very neat things. Not only is it adjustable but because the seat leans forward you can hide a lot of the Ron Francis wiring components out of sight. The back also leans forward to reveal a removable panel which is where the Optima battery has been tucked away. This is a very clever way to hide away some of the more unsightly but necessary components and the way it was done you would have no clue it was even there. Also touching on the level of detail is this car has a built in roll bar for added safety. The way it was designed to frame the rear window you almost don't even notice it at first. Prior to the interior construction Dynamat was laid down covering the cab and trunk for both temperature and sound regulation. The door panels are upholstered to match the seat and while it may appear to have manual window cranks those cranks actually control the power windows. It is a really neat way to combined classic and modern features. The dash is painted in Black and has been kept very clean. It has a central set of Classic Instruments gauges mounted in an engine turned bezel. A small underdash panel was installed and houses the Vintage Air/Heat/Defrost controls as well as the adjustable vents. Mounted to the polished Limeworks column is a Classic Instruments tachometer and Limeworks steering wheel. Through the floor is a Gennie shifter and emergency brake which all function correctly. The deck lid has been kept completely clean and is power operated with remotes. It is upholstered very well just like the main cab.
This is a really special 3 Window Coupe that needs nothing. It was extremely well put together and really stands out next to others. Whether you are looking to bring home trophies or go for a cruise this car was designed to do both. It is one of the cleanest Street Rods on the road so if you are looking for a '32 this is not one to pass up. With only 1,000 miles since being finished the car still looks like it was just completed while also being driven just enough to break it in.
