What do you get when you combine the buff aesthetics of timeless pro street brawn with the spry spirit of legendary Motor City muscle? This incredible Camaro resto-mod! With the universal appeal of show stopping eye candy, and the road going prowess of a modernized cruiser, this cool coupe is a clean, well-built custom that provides its owner the best of both worlds. And what's better: you can have your classic and drive it too for a fraction of the money and time it takes to complete a ground-up build!
DEEP GLOW
A head-turning pony car that's dashed with tasteful aftermarket swagger, this prime-year panther features a detailed, custom appearance that's highlighted by a glowing coat of Metallic Burgundy two-stage. That pigment wraps a solid profile that, during a detailed, ground-up restoration, was stripped bare and lovingly massaged to form. And today, this classic rolls as one lights-out head turner that's virtually guaranteed to make you weak in the knees! At the front of the car, a handsome Rally Sport grille hangs a crisp ""SS"" badge between a fresh bumper, detailed parking lamps and fluid Detroit Speed headlight doors. A requisite D80 chin spoiler leads a sculpted profile, which centers traditional door handles between bright fender emblems, stylish quarter louvers and flowing Hockey Stick Stripes A Camaro-branded header leads a familiar Super Sport Hood, which leads a crisp, stainless-trimmed greenhouse that's reflected in factory mirrors and Detroit Speed wipers. And at the back of the car, a Camaro-branded trunk tilts a second D80 spoiler over a Super Sport valance, Rally Sport taillights and a second fresh bumper.
BIG STROKE
It's pretty obvious this Chevy was built to be driven and seen, and nowhere is that more evident than under the hood. Tilt the metal and you'll find 421 cubic inches of stroked small block power! At the top of that mean mill, a finned air cleaner jambs wind into a bright Pro Series Venom VX double pumper 4-barrel. That carb, dressed with a small pressure gauge and Redhorse Performance hoses, feeds a lightweight Edelbrock Victor Jr. intake, which is bolted to aluminum Canfield cylinder heads. Those heads stack a muted Chevrolet breather and stylish Billet Specialties valve covers on sturdy stud girdles and quality COMP roller rockers. A SCAT crank pushes SCAT rods and CP-Carrillo pistons at the sides of a Bullet Racing cam. Hot MSD 6AL ignition sequences fire between an MSD Blaster 2 coil, an MSD Pro-Billet distributor and loomed Taylor plug wires. Coated Hooker Super Competition headers make quick work of charred dinosaurs. Billet V-belt components spin an aluminum water pump between a muted alternator and lucid power steering. Speaking of water, a big aluminum radiator circulates coolant around a compact puller fan and a shrouded pulley fan. And overall, the Jet Black beast looks great in the car's traditional, Satin Black engine bay.
SEAMLESS UPGRADES
Take a long look under this classic and you'll find a roster of significant modifications that add up to impressive dynamics and big performance gains. The buff 421 utilizes a 3,200 RPM FTI lockup converter to spin a trusty 700R4 4-speed, which twists a dressed 12-bolt axle. That axle rides Hotchkis 3-inch drop springs that are supplemented with both sturdy subframe connectors and CalTracs traction bars. Up front, factory-style power steering leads 2-inch drop spindles and modern coil-over-shocks. Stops are quick and precise thanks to power-assisted discs and drums. Spent gases are managed by 3-inch pipes, which make excellent use of an H-shaped crossover and throaty Flowmaster mufflers. And power pounds the pavement through snazzy Sander Engineering wheels, which spin 26x6.00R15 Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/Rs in front of 255/60R15 Mickey Thompson ET Street S/S.
DELUXE DIGS
Open this F1's solid doors and you'll find a handsome Black interior that's been thoughtfully upgraded in all the right ways! Modern bucket seats recline for both the driver and front passenger. In front of those thrones, a dressed Covan dash hangs a full suite of AutoMeter Sport-Comp telemetry above a modern Pioneer CD player that kicks big Kenwood speakers. Deluxe door panels cage fade-free carpet, which frames a serious TCI Outlaw Shifter. And the driver turns a small-diameter steering wheel around a convenient tilting column.
This slick Camaro is a nicely finished classic that was built to be driven AND seen. It uses top-notch components from some of the best names in the business to create a unique custom that mixes killer personality with awesome curb appeal. Looking for some road ready muscle that's guaranteed to draw a crowd wherever you go? Your search is officially over!
