1953 Chevy custom pick up. DGT0138. VIN. J530010138. This great driving truck has eyeball. I first drove it about 5 miles so I could get it up to speed and drive it around. We went to the gas station and put gas in it to see if the gas gauge works and it does and we have since learned that the gas gauge goes to Half and stops and you can run out of gas. If you're not paying attention, Andrew knows. We had a seat restuffed and reupholstered. Now it's firm and it looks great. It's powered by a 350 Chevy V8 engine with an automatic 700 R 4 transmission. Has power steering. Manual drum brakes. I really like the color combination of the red with the black fenders. Beautiful chrome grill and chrome front and rear bumpers give it eyeball. Has a sun visor. It has 9,000 miles on it since it was restored and the engine and transmission installed. The person I bought it from has owned it for 15 years. She used to drive it to eastern Washington every now and then. She said it was a great driver. We found some pin holes, but not very many in the floor pan. Otherwise it's really solid excellent metal. This is a 3600 model pick up which means it's three-quarter tons and you have eight lug wheels on it. I like the cast aluminum wheels it has in the tires are in excellent condition. It's serviced and safety checked.
