This unit was built in May 1972 at DeTomasos factory in Modena, Italy. It arrived at the Baltimore, Maryland Port of Entry in September 1972 and was delivered to the Buffalo, New York region. The original owner purchased it at Carl Foss Lincoln-Mercury, Inc., in Rochester, New York on June 22, 1973. There is a second area to stow luggage and other items after of the mid-mounted engine and this Pantera still contains its original space saver tire, the jack, original bag and air canister. The cars chrome bumpers fit well to the body and offer a great contrast to the yellow body color. This Pantera rolls on Pirelli Cinturato tires, 185/70VR15 in front and 225/70VR15 in back. A newfour-bolt mainCleveland Engine, also 351CID, was used with lowercompression ratiobut with the more aggressive Cobra Jet camshaft (featuring the same lift and duration as the 428 Cobra Jet's factory performance cam) in an effort to reclaim some of the power lost through the compression reduction along with a dual point distributor.
